Hey guys , Im new to this site but no G Body's ...

Owned 2 Regals , 6 Old Cutlass Supremes & 1 Monte Carlo thru the years !!

Just picked up a 1979 Buick Regal that was frame off restored , every lil piece on this car has been removed and reinstalled ....... The guy i bought the car from really did a incredible job from front to back! 406 Pontiac Small Block 428HP w/TH400 trans.
Not sure i like the funky stripes but they are growing on me and they were done very nicely as far as quality of the job, the steering wheel needs to be changed also imo ...

Anyhow figured i would say hi and show of my new whip!

or direct link .

Hope you guys like . I look forward to being a member here!

Welcome. Nice to see some more pre 71 regals. We are a select few

Welcome to the forums bro the regal is looking sweet. I wanna see more pics of it lol.

Man you got a couch inside that thing! lol And Pontiac power! The 400 was a great hot rod street motor. Buicks can be so posh. The whole car looks nicely done. You can probably put that link in your signature. Hopefully you can add some pics to your album here. We would especially love to see the engine compartment. He did a really nice job on the gauge setup. Welcome aboard and tell us about your ride. Has she ever been down the track? What trans & gears you got?

Agree those gauges are nice. Love the plush interior, just like my Olds. Would like to see a launch video  .

Welcome!
Car looks and sounds great.
If you ever decide to switch to a Buick engine, I have a good home for that Pontiac engine...in my Bonneville wagon!

Thanks for the props ...

The interior was completely reupholstered , and the guy did a great job ....
The transmission is a TH400 that actually took a crap on me , and i will be getting it rebuilt next week ...
getting ready to order a TCI Torque Converter 2500-2800 stall ....

The motor is chromed and polished to the max .... Rear End is Posi 342 gears!

Here are some more pics.... I will get 1/4 mile E.T probably next friday if i can get the transmission worked out ....
Im actually thinking of going to a TH350 transmission as this TH400 always reved to high before shifting , i dont know if that is normal or if it was the transmission coming apart ?

i seen this on ebay, its a nice car i drive a white 78 like that. i like that dash alot, any ideas where its from?

Cool even has AC! Engine looks sharp. Nice to see something other than a belly button to. With that kind of HP 3.42s and the torque of 406 cubes she should scoot! You know if your trans took a crap and your spending money on it anyway why not take the opportunity to make one of the single biggest upgrades you could do for a street car and step up to an overdrive. 33% better mileage and no spinning the snot out of it down the highway wearing out your valvetrain and motor before its time. I had great luck with Extremautomatics. Lonnie rebuilt two 200-4Rs for me one for behind the 509ci in the 442 and one for my GN. He provides the core so its just dropped shipped to your door and comes with a year warranty. Its not the only place just giving you an example.
