Oh absolutely! she's tuned and runs amazing! I get so many compliments on this truck its crazy!
It’ll be a sad day when I get a newer truck that doesn’t sound like an airplane lol. As for your Malibu I echo others if you can find a motor with a 4l80e you’ll be much much happier. I have a th350 with 3.08 rear gears and 65mph is it’s happy spot. Any faster and It starts to scream

that's pretty much all the rust there is I cant wait to loose that vinyl top. I heard its a pain in the *ss to remove any tips?
You'll also have to pull off the trim surrounding it. A heat gun would probably be helpful in the removal of the vinyl.

My Malibu was sitting for about 2 years. I took it for a 20 minute drive and it seemed good. When I drove it again it got stuck in gear. I thought I was looking at a rebuild. I had to move it in the driveway a few times so I had to push it in reverse. Then it just freed up. I changed the fluid and filter and drove it a bunch. She’s been good. I’m sure it’s going to need a rebuild at some point. It was rebuilt 20 years ago but if it has 5k on it, it’s a lot. Things dry out over time though.
