Man, I thought you were gone forever. Good to hear the project is back on. Sucks about the GTP seats because they really are comfy. The factory Gbody buckets aren't too easy to find anymore but the Fbody seats are somewhat similar and wouldn't look out of place. Might even be able to use an Fbody console to complete the set.

looks like were in the same boat...trying to build an '80 cutty and keep getting sidetracked ( i.e..financially torpedoed by life..lol ) . any of that interior plastic you want to unload id be interested in. stuff like door panels, pillar trim etc.. mine came with the interior stripped and missing. i got the dash and column and i think the plastic for the sides by the rear seat, thats about it.

Yeah I know man things have been crazy over here so all my projects got completely side lined. Hey I am going to shoot you a PM about something so keep your eyes open for that. I am going to try and head out to my yard this weekend and see if there are any decent F Body seats there. Most of the ones I have found in the past are completely trashed though. I was also thinking maybe the Procar seats FE3X Clone has in his car or dig up some Corbeau Moabs in black and grey.

lesbaldridge heck I am sure we can work something out. I have 3 cars to pick from as of now 2 80's and one 79. Keep in touch with me and let me know what you want/need and I can set things aside. If you were closer I would offer to sell you my second aluminum hood, yes I have 2 of them.

Heck I am chopping a hole in one of them myself, I don't feel so bad about it considering I have two of the things

checked your build blog, pretty cool. stop over to my thread and check out my rear rims i just picked up if u get a chance. if you have some interior plastic we can cut a deal on im game. i dug through everything that i got with my car and the only interior i got with mine as far as plastic interior panels are the ones around the rear seats, but theyre in such bad shape i dont know if theyre salvadgeable, probably with enough elbow grease, but theyre also missing the inserts for the speaker grills. id be interested in just about any or all of the extra interior panels you want to sell me including some door panels if you have some for a non-power window car....BTW...i saw somewhere you mentioned pirateing a rear seat out of another vehicle, do you know what cars the rear seats will work out of for these A body cutty's ? mine's MIA. i think i got the front buckets covered but gonna need some rears soon.

OK I have seats again! Went to the yard and found a set of '86 Camaro Z28 seats. They need to be recovered but they seamed to be in good shape. I also found another set of wheels and 2 of them had good Radial T/A's on them.

Well I must have terrible luck with seats. Went to pick up my 86 camaro and one of the backs was broken so I grabbed a set of 98 seats from another Camaro.

Alright test fit the 4th gen seat, first off it is quite comfy, more so than I imagined it would be. I yanked the factory rail off and slapped on the old G Body rail and...it is to narrow to mount up proper. Damn it. However narrow I can work with, I figure that I can make a rail adapter for one side fairly easy. The next problem is the extra cushion on the seat and the more upright seating position puts my belly rather close to the wheel, more incentive to lose weight I suppose. However I think the 2nd gen F Body steering column will not come out quite as far so that may help some. Gotta love building a Frankencar

I'll get some pics up tomorrow.
