The console was busted up to much to bother with in both cars. I might just build one myself eventually to work with the Hurst shifter I am putting in 8)

I like the idea of a custom console. Since you're build a touring car, how about running buckets front and rear with a console all the way down the center of the car? Yeah, it makes it strictly a 4 seater, but it'd be pretty comfy on long trips and keep asses in seats on the twisty roads. Plus you could fold the rear seats forward to get long stuff in the trunk. Just a thought.

You know I thought about that because the rear seats for the 98 Camaro were buckets and I was trying to figure out how to make them work. I think the eventual outcome for the car is going to be something in like the Pro Touring class of cars, not quite as refined as some of them but more in that direction than say a drag car or anything like that. Definitely NOT a low rider or any of that stuff.

It will be a work in progress and right now I am trying to just get it into a running configuration for the summer and clearing the main bay in my shop so that we can start working on Tiff's Invicta this summer or this coming winter.

As it stands right now here is the plan for the car for THIS summer. Again this is just to get it moving more will come.
Olds 403- Edelbrock intake, rebuild the Quadrajet, Flowtech headers with Purple Hornies until I can build an exhaust, going to use the diesel engines radiator with oil cooler.
Transmission - not doing much here YET. Leaving in the TH350 and shifting will be handled by a Hurst V Matic 2.
Rear End- 7.5 Posi with 3.23 gears I believe they were it will be getting a JEGS supported aluminum cover.
Suspension- Just got in some KYB Gas A Just shocks for all 4 corners and I have some springs that I got from a circle track driver that I am deciding if they will go in. Also have the various bracing bars to put in.
Interior- 2nd Gen F Body steering column, Pace car steering wheel, Hurst V Matic 2 shifter, 4th Gen Camaro seats up front, maybe in the back as well, we will see and repairing the dash and recoloring dash and trim.
Exterior- fix windshield, replace locks with black set, install scoop and 3rd Gen Firebird wing, paint Blitz Black and choose a set of wheels from my like 5 sets

That is basically the plan for this spring and summer. I have every part for that so it is just a matter of getting to it and getting it all done.

im digging those 4th gen camaro seats man, look real good in there. so , you havent decided what wheels to use yet ? i kinda just stumbled into my rally's, i hadnt originally planned on using them untill i found that set on craigs list. i was wondering, judgeing from the looks of your seat mount situation, have you considered just drilling a couple new holes to mount themm to the floor ? from what i can see in the pics, it looks like the new seats are just a hair off from the cutty mounts, or did you just set them in there that way for the pic ? if i dont end up going with the race seats from summit i may try to scrounge up a set of buckets ike yours, but considering what they want for a decent set down here and what i can get the race seats for i think id break even.. lol . anyways, looking good man, whenever you get a chance hit me back on that interior stuff.

Yeah I was actually thinking about seeing if the bottom of the seat would have enough "meat" to drill a second set of holes. More than likely I will take a flat piece of steel and drill the holes to line up proper and just bolt it up. Should be easy enough. Those seats actually only ran me $50 for the pair.

I once swapped toronado trofeo buckets in and I ended up removing the tracks off of the cutlass bench seats and it worked fine. The only problem was the trofeo seats were power and the orig. bench was not lol. Will that work on those buckets? take a look at them
