You know I thought about that because the rear seats for the 98 Camaro were buckets and I was trying to figure out how to make them work. I think the eventual outcome for the car is going to be something in like the Pro Touring class of cars, not quite as refined as some of them but more in that direction than say a drag car or anything like that. Definitely NOT a low rider or any of that stuff.
It will be a work in progress and right now I am trying to just get it into a running configuration for the summer and clearing the main bay in my shop so that we can start working on Tiff's Invicta this summer or this coming winter.
As it stands right now here is the plan for the car for THIS summer. Again this is just to get it moving more will come.
Olds 403- Edelbrock intake, rebuild the Quadrajet, Flowtech headers with Purple Hornies until I can build an exhaust, going to use the diesel engines radiator with oil cooler.
Transmission - not doing much here YET. Leaving in the TH350 and shifting will be handled by a Hurst V Matic 2.
Rear End- 7.5 Posi with 3.23 gears I believe they were it will be getting a JEGS supported aluminum cover.
Suspension- Just got in some KYB Gas A Just shocks for all 4 corners and I have some springs that I got from a circle track driver that I am deciding if they will go in. Also have the various bracing bars to put in.
Interior- 2nd Gen F Body steering column, Pace car steering wheel, Hurst V Matic 2 shifter, 4th Gen Camaro seats up front, maybe in the back as well, we will see and repairing the dash and recoloring dash and trim.
Exterior- fix windshield, replace locks with black set, install scoop and 3rd Gen Firebird wing, paint Blitz Black and choose a set of wheels from my like 5 sets
That is basically the plan for this spring and summer. I have every part for that so it is just a matter of getting to it and getting it all done.
