81 Malibu project restarting

Yesterday was too hot to go into the garage. Today was too hot as well, but I managed to drag myself out there for a little bit. I have an ac unit I bought for it but haven’t had a chance to install it. I was able to get the drivers seat brackets and the passenger side rust patch welded in. Hopefully I can do the passenger seat, console, and shifter brackets in tomorrow. Then the welding will be done.

I have to admit that I'm not a fan of the heat, but considering we were close to seeing snow less than 4 weeks ago, I'm taking 90+ with a smile. Sunday I was up to my neck in heat, but it a beat 35 degree rainy day - hands down.

If a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it, then does it make any noise? If I stink and no one smells it, then do I really stink?

I’m with you there, I was just too tired to deal with it yesterday. I worked until 6 Saturday. Then came home cut the grass then worked in the garage. Sunday finished cleaning the yard to have a bbq. I was a bit tired Monday from the weekend. Then worked all day in the heat, took my son to t ball, then played with him in the yard a bit. Unfortunately after that I sat on the couch in the ac. Once that happens, it’s all over.
It’s a tough balance between work, time with family, housework, and working in the garage.

Quick and dirty brush job on the epoxy. Seam sealer tomorrow.

Got some of the floor underneath painted and shot with a little undercoat. I need to prep the whole underside before I coat the whole thing.
Then I bolted one seat in and took the car for a ride around the block. I still have to put the seat belts back in and the other seats, but it felt good to be behind the wheel again.
