I thought the color was going to turn out close to the color on my 86 but yours is WAY darker. Really looks nice keep up the good work!

I havent been on here in a long time because school has been crazy but i thought i would give an update on the cars status.
All that is left to paint is the hood, doors and fenders. most of the interior is in except for the seats which are being recovered. Also i posted a pic of my new 2004 monte.

LLoks great. It's the same color as mine. That thing is going to look real sharp when you are done with it. I am only scared that when you paint the hood, doors, and fenders that you are taking a chance of it not matching 100%. I am a bodyman by trade and I know how easy it is not to have it match whe you spray things seperately. I hope you remember exactly the ratios that it was mixed. If it is slightly different then it will have a slight color variance to it. I hope you don't have this happen. Good luck with the rest of it and can't wai to see the whole car together.

Yeah it could be a the came color it came from the rm 2009 colors book looks great in the sun. As for the colors not matching the deck lid and bumper covers were painted 3 weeks after everything else and match perfectly. My uncle has been a bodyman for 45 years and knows what hes doing. The paint has been wet sanded and buffed aswell.

That is good news to hear. I am glad that the paint matches. I only said it cause some people arn't as skilled at it as others are. It's good that you have an experienced painter then. I bet it looks sharp. I know when my paint was new (7 years ago that it looked killer in the sun) now it needs a new paint job. Well, how long till it is all together so we can see the finished product?

im hoping to have it done by the spring if all goes well at school. really i just have to get the rest of the parts painted by the spring and my seat covers put on. i have to buy the tires yet but im not sure how big i can go on the rear. also there may be plans in the works for my 81 monte as soon as this one is finished.
