i like ss cars to but really i think there are to many cloans around. i think i see more ss cars around then actual plain sport coupe montes.

As much money you will put into making it into a clone it will never be worth as much as a real SS. I say if you want a SS buy an SS. So my vote is to leave the stock nose 😀

i agree i should just stick with the original plan. its gunna save me money and i was never really that keen on it it the first place

yep, original nose, or the later model LS nose. the SS nose is overdone

P.S. need pics of the first gen monte in the garage! one of my all time dream cars!

here are some of the pics of my dads 71 monte carlo in the background you are asking about. heres the cars story. my dad bought the car in 1973 when it was a couple of years old. he had the car before he started dating my mom lol. he drove the car up until the early 80's and parked it in our shop where it sat until 2000 when i convinced him to restore it. the car underwent a frame off resto and has been finished for about 5 years. the engine is the original 350 that came with the car but has had a set of edelbrock aluminum performer rpm heads installed, perfomer rpm cam, performer rpm air-gap intake, headmen ceramic coated headers with 1 3/4" primary tubes, original th 350 with a shift kit installed killer by racing transmissions in london. the car is running a 3" mandrel bent exhaust from flowmaster with 50 series mufflers which sounds awsome (sounds like a big block). my dad also removed the huge fan shroud and indstalled an electric fan out of a wreaked volvo.

some of these pics might not best quality

ya this is the car that got into cars in the first place. im glad he kept it all thoughs years and didnt get rid of it like all his other cars. we got plans to swap the turbo 350 to a 200-4r and use a hurst floor shifter to replace the column shift. i think it would be cool to see a bench seat car with the floor shifter.
