A turbo 400 trans is a drop in transmission just like everyother transmission for gbodys. the only thing turbo 400 require some special things done at the carb for the kickdown setup.

Have an 83 grand prix, first gbody build any preps tips tricks are appreciated. Gonna be a 406 SBC for a power plant, but undecided on the rest, most likely a th400.

I went with a Pontiac 400 motor in my 82. Chevy motors dont belong in Pontiacs. Consider a 4-speed conversion. Parts are plentiful and its fairly easy. Makes it sure fun to drive.
