83 Malibu Wagon SIDE QUARTER GLASS MOLDING

What years are the metal moldings? Mine being a 78 it has metal moldings, guess i never noticed that some where rubber.

I'm not quite sure... I'm thinking they started using the rubber/ vinyl mouldings in '81...or '82 until '83, which is when G-body wagon production ceased.
I'm guessing the General was looking to save money by using the rubberized crap instead of aluminum mouldings.

Looks like the plastic/vinyl/rubber moldings started in 1981, mine has 'em. It'll be getting the aluminum when/if paint ever comes.
