Well, the engine is complete. Today is the first decent day we have had in a week. I will be pressure washing my engine bay and spraying it black today. I will also be re-routing my wiring and mounting my battery in the trunk.

Well, we pulled the Regal around the block to the car wash a power washed my engine bay (with the help from some purple power)
Let it sit an dry, in the beautiful 75* sunny weather we had here today 8)
...and then I got it all painted up. By no means a professional job, but it looks pretty good 😛

wow looks good. are you planing on putting on jounce bars or an upgraded steering shaft? it would dress up the bay alot

Not to sure what jounce bars are :?:
I am putting a rebuilt upgraded S10 manual steering box in it (not positive what the ratio is) I also plan on swapping a center counsel shifter, so that will do away with the shifter linkage. I have also thought about smoothing off the wheel wells.

Well, after a long pause in progress, my engine is finally resting in its rightful place 😀 I decided to attempt putting this engine in all by myself. I have never in my life seen an engine and transmission mate together so easily. I am not even joking :!: The first lowering of the engine into the engine bay and sat right into place and the transmission dowel pins fell into place 😱
Me, assessing the situation :idea:
Engine awaiting implant
Lowered in and lined up :wink:
All bolted in and waiting for the finishing touches 😀
I am not sure why, but my car sits much higher than it did with the other SBC. Any ideas :?:
