Re: Starting my signature build *UPDATE Apr 11th*

The battery is in the trunk now :|

The only stuff left to go in the engine bay is:
-engine oil
-aluminum radiator
-antifreeze
-alternator
-headers
-starter
-belts/hoses

All that will probably be about 100lbs more weight up there. That isn't going to bring it down a whole lot more :? I will also be getting rid of the power steering pump and replacing the power steering gear box with a manual gear box :|

Re: Starting my signature build *UPDATE Apr 11th*more pics!

I had that same problem with my front end when i put the 455 back in my car it sat so long with no weight in the front end. It came down a bit after driveing it around but the aluminum heads and radiator took some wait off the nose so its still a little high i would drive it for a bit and see if it come back down.

Re: Starting my signature build *UPDATE Apr 11th*more pics!

That's what one of my co-workers was telling me. But the car only sat for a month without an engine. I guess its time for my 2" drop spindles

Re: Starting my signature build *UPDATE Apr 11th*more pics!

The front seems to have settled a little bit more. But it is definitely time to get my rear lowering springs and front drop spindles

Re: Starting my signature build *UPDATE Apr 11th*more pics!

Thanks guys 🙂

Remaining checklist
-starter
-headers
-alternator (still have to buy the bracket)
-pulleys & belt
-distributor (timing)
-radiator & hoses
-transmission cooler & lines (my new radiator doesn't have one built in)
-route wiring
-install trunk battery box

I think that is about it but I am sure there will be more

Re: Starting my signature build *UPDATE Apr 11th*more pics!

Went to the Pull-a-Part in Charlotte yesterday and had too much fun

I got a serpentine crank and water pump pulley ($7 each) and I found a nice transmission oil cooler for like $8 😛 I also grabbed a factory front air dam from a Regal sitting in there. I really want an M80 front spoiler, but this will do for now. I also grabbed a front bumper for my Ranger
I was working on getting a set of aluminum heads off an LT1 but I just could not get my hand in there for the passenger side rear exhaust manifold bolts :x I had the drivers side head completely removed 😢

Re: Starting my signature build *UPDATE Apr 11th*more pics!
