Hello I just picked up a 84 regal with a very nice body and a blown v6. I also own a 90 z28 originally a 305 car but now has a 350. I want to swap the camaro engine into the buick its set up with a th350 right now will this be a pretty straight forward swap or am i going to need to cut driveshafts and such ? thanks for any replys.

Ok so i did some reading on this site looks like i need monte 305 motor mounts. I'll also get the cross member for the th350 I saw 1 from jegs and there was mention of another from this site. Not concerned about emissions or A/C but need to keep p/s and heat . I need to find out what headers will work with this swap as well and what else i should rob from the camaro.

For headers you just need some SBC headers for Gbody, easy to find on summit. The aftermarket crossmember is a good idea, especially if you plan on running dual exhaust. I believe the front sway bar will swap into the Gbody, that would be a worth while swap. The radiator and electric fan setup would be a nice addition to the Regal also. good luck, very common swap so you shouldn't have any issues getting information and sources.

thanks for the info hadn't thought about the rad also I read that the seats fit to thats a nice plus .

the rear seats don't, and I'm not positive that the front ones do.

I used these headers - it's a tight fit.

If you get painted headers, rough them up with sand paper and coat them with a few layers of spray can heat paint (from the auto store) before you put them on the car. There's a reason why painted headers are so cheap...

Thanks for the info Custom442 I knew the rear seats wouldn't fit someone in the junkyard swap list [sticky] said that the fronts fit if used with the stock buick brackets. I think ima go with the ceramic header in whatever I buy. I have headers on the camaro but they were elcheapos and look like poo now. I should have this car up and running within the month.

For the radiator fan, I was reading on another board (3rd gen?) that the sensors won't kick the fan on until 220. You might want to keep a watch out for that as well.

I found a 90 TA that's all there looking to do some swaps. I'd like to get a hold of the whole car, but I don't think the bone yard will do that.

Yea 220 would be a bit high but you could use a fan controller to set it at whatever temp ya wanted i assume. I am also interested to see how the sway bars and springs work out .
