84 T-Type Questions, and Rebuild...

As you guys know I'm rebuilding this engine, how the hell do I set the timing. I thought that I'd pull the cam sensor out and put it back in the right spot. But then I noticed that it turns the oil pump and has to line up in order to do that. I have the two marks on the can and crank lined up. What next? Thanks and sorry if this a noob question...
 
Alright, I got the motor in, and it's not starting... I dont know why it isnt starting. I will say this though, the fuel pump keeps running, it doesn't ever stop. i have a full tank of gas, i had 42 psi at the rail, i read somewhere these cars like 60, so it turned it up to 60, still no start and the pump keeps running. what would cause this, or is this normal? it also doesnt seem to fire very often. however when u hit it with starting fluid it fires more, however still wont start. any pointers would be great, thanks
 
Take Bweavy's advice and put in the neoprene rear main seal. Changing one on your back under the car is just not that much fun. Ooops, I see you have it in the car. Oh well, you will get a chance to do it if you keep the car a while.

Do you have spark? How are you measuring fuel pressure? Does it have compression?(I know, seems obvious). How did you set the cam sensor? Crank Sensor?

Yes to spark. Used a fuel pressure gauge to test pressure at the rail. Haven't checked compression. Cam sensor was set by putting motor at tdc, and turning cam sensor until voltage dropped. Didn't do anything to crank sensor, what needs to be done there?
 
Gap the crank sensor evenly so it is an even gap on the reluctor ring. Did it back fire or anything? Get the Fuel pressure back down & check your plugs make sure they aren't wet. If your getting spark sounds like the cam sensor isn't set correctly.
 
Okay, so after it not starting, i took the passanger side fuel injectors loose and turned the key, they all plused and shot fuel at the same time. i hooked it back up and took off the driver side fuel injectors and when i turned the key to on, they shot fuel, without cranking, just with the key turned to run they kept spraying fuel, all three of them and i messed with the wires a little bit and now only the front two keep spraying without cranking, any ideas?
