wow Mike, what a steal!
and it's in decent shape too, asside from being a little dirty!

cool traction bars! And those Rallys in the back are perfect for some slicks!

so what are you planning to use from this car for your's?

well i was going to use the rallys on my car but my dad assumed he could throw them on the GN bc a tire blew out...its w.e though lol

...ill be updating this thread shortly i've been away from it for so long i nearly forgot about it.

alright guys sorry for neglecting my build thread over the many past months. i dont have pictures for you at the moment but i can give you an update on the progress me and my father have made...its not a lot but progress is always good.

engine, trans, drive shaft, rear, and exhaust have been removed from the tan car.

the engine bay of the tan car was wire wheeled and primed and i now ready for black paint next time the we are working and the weather is nice.

On the purple car, we started disconnecting all the wiring harnesses/spark plug wires under the hood.

We drained all of the fluids out of the purple car and i got to take an antifreeze bath in the process. (i was under the car when my dad decided the antifreeze was not draining fast enough :blam: next thing you know im partially covered in antifreeze which is always fun...i mean working on a car isnt fun unless your getting filty. Words from my father afterwards. "you'll be okay, just don't lick it.")

Radiator was removed, the headers back to the mufflers was removed.

Drive shaft was removed, the transmission had leaked so much fluid sitting that when i pulled the shaft out from the trans, no fluid drained.

and the torque converter was separated from the flywheel.

All of the work done to the purple car was done today, so all in all i say we had a pretty productive couple of hours working on the car.

Plans: as of now the plan is to paint the engine bay of the tan car black, then pull the 350 from the purple car along with the trans, and rear, clean everything and paint it all up, transplant it into the tan car. then over fall and winter complete the body work and primer the body, along with undercoating the car. Spring time will come and then we'll paint it or get it over to macco for a cheap job....put the interior back in and reassemble. and it will be on the road by summer time 2012.

That is the plan as of now but hopefully these plans dont change too much since im dieing to drive my baby.

In the mean time ill take the grand national out for a spin or too.

Thanks for looking, hope to update you guys frequently from here on out.

Cool build tread... Keep the updates coming... Where did you get the cowl hood?

Thanks, i got the cowl hood from a private seller, its a VFN fiberglass. Got it for cheap. Im going to eventually glass in the stock hood frame so i can make it hinged instead of a liftoff

Monday the 350 and th350 was removed from the parts car. got the 350 on the stand in the garage so i can start cleaning it up. If the weather is still nice around 5pm today we are going to spray the engine bay of the tan car black.

Ok thanks. I will contact them cause they only list 4 1/2" on the web site and if i get one I only want a 2" rise.

With those
GTA wheel i would keep them gold if you get the gold 442 stripe kit

yeah im not sure how big mine is, maybe 3in. I think 3in is the biggest you can go and still have a "street" looking ride, any bigger and it will look like track car IMO

The GTA wheels will stay gold for now since powder coating them will cost a little. I dont think im going to do the stripe kit, i would always feel guilty bc it will never be a real 442

Bringing the cutlass back home tonight 😀 😀

Tucked in nice and tight...
