i was thinking too that it could be from my fuel line sitting right against my passenger header, so it was too hot and causing a vapor problem ... but the time where i couldnt get it out of a parking lot, i had driven it 8 minutes, without letting it warm up first... then let it sit in a parking lot for an hour while shopping, come back and try to leave immediately and its just idling horribly low and i dont think i could keep it up even with my foot on the gas a bit.... then it proceeds to not start.

ah well, ill mess with idle mixture later today and report on my findings.

The fuel line is tucked inside the frame rail for that very reason, to protect it, so that isn't the issue.
The fuel line running from the fuel pump to the carburetor runs right along side the thermostat.
If the thermostat is sticking, it gets hot fast, and will result in vapor lock. I had the same thing happen on my 307.

The line your passenger side header is touching is the brake line, which is extremely dangerous.
You might notice that the brake pedal starts to feel soft as the fluid heats up.

update: fuel filter and o2 sensor replaced, the carb is receiving adequite fuel, and its not getting vapor locked

its still idling really really rough. how can i acess the idle mixture adjusters without taking the carb off. stock 307 carb. they are at the bottom and cant stick a screw driver inthere .. so i think

I posted this on the other thread you started...

If your motor was running ok before the header swap, are you sure you didn't just knock something loose when you were working under the hood?
