85 salon ttop car

I have a cutlass salon with a 3.8 I wish I had the ttops.
I am actually in Ky as well I am in the process of fixing mine all back up.
What part of Ky you in?

the car was a fqctory 260, but has been swapped to a 307.
I live in barren county by the lake but I'm in glasgow, bowling green and smiths grove everyday. Wehre you from?

theres a good chance its od. yep, its probably got 2.56's or the like in it MAYBE 3.08's even with od. cant go wrong with that price though. id say a cutlass salon is rare for what it is, all anyone sees are regular cutlass' or supremes, hell i've seen more 442's that supremes around.

My 87 Salon came with the TH200C and 307, with 2:56 rear. I do have the 200-4R going in it though....😉.....with the 333.

the car is an th200. seems easier to swap a sbc than find a bop pattern transmission. Id like to find a non-power non-ttop v8 car to trade it too

trailered it home. stopped on the way a put a couple gallons int the tank. swapped the battery ends to top post and put one in. primed the carb and it started right up. It sounds good in park but misses horribly once its going down the road. Its got new dizzy cap and wires, new carb, new mc. rotors, calipers and drums. tires are newish and all match. I found enough tools in the trunk to pay for it. The Ps pump is squealing and leaking, theres an extra in the trunk. as for the miss, imma try plugs but after that im guessing cam o valves. any input? what are 307s known for?

car has the f41 suspension package and all lights and windows work.

great potential..........i have two 85 salons, been keepin my eye on salons for years. only seen a few with t tops and vinyl roof. kinda weird combo ? as to the rarity only 1,437 1985 salons made for canada, so i imagine a similar amont for USA. thats more rare than the 442's. canadian production stats also list only 298 t- top cars made that year for canada. so your cars definately a keeper.

by the way, taillights are wrong, 84 and 85 had the same taillights, 86 to 88 the same.........yours are 83 and earlier

also your headlight bezel should be blacked out

I was wondering about the light. I couldn't find one to match. I guess ill replace them both now.
The filler panels are universal I guess?
Motor is going to come first then body second. But won't hurt to start swapping parts.
