You put headers on, or just going to run the duals?

If you put headers on, did any bolts snap?

Your progress is looking good.

thank you happy, I do love this car, and enjoy cruising in it, so I'm not too worried about some of the aesthetics, and minor issues.

Gonz, it already had long tube headers on it, along with a pretty shoddy exhaust setup on it when I picked it up... I have had the headers out, and didn't break any, but just like any toy or diet on tv-results may vary!

proof of life thread, just trying to keep it from being locked...car hasn't seen the road since last fall, and the rust at the trunk lid has gotten to the point that I seriously need to do something...

Quick update on the chief, finally got around to getting it up to get the inspection done, so I can get the tags renewed, so i threw my zq8’s on the ack after sanding the hubs to fit.

I went to put the fronts on and found that the factory rotors had some kind of spacer, and left 4 threads for the lugs... I threw the factory’s back on the front, and got it to the inspector.

I went back out today, and did some work to my parts blazer, anyone see what’s wrong with this picture? (Hint- this is a ‘98 2wd blazer)

Needless to say, chief has better stopping now, and looks better with matching wheels!

Took it for a quick spin, and definitely feel the difference!

I did also upgrade my 4x10’s in the rear deck, and unnecessarily removed the rear seat, thinking I’d need to drill some holes and run bolts.... didn’t realize the hardware included with the kit worked on my deck. While I had the rear seat, I realized I’d never noticed my partial birth certificate under the seat back foam... always thought they were on the bottom...

And just want to drop a pic of 3/4ths of the tribe...

I’ve never professed to being a body guy, my brother on the other coast is the one who makes cars pretty. I can build them, but as far as pretty, well all I can claim is that I can make them less ugly... did a quick sanding, and a rust oleum job on the hood today. Didn’t come out too bad, considering it’ll get a chemical strip later on..

Looking good
thanks Happy, it looks decent from 20 ft, which was my hope. there was too much fade/peel and surface rust on the hood for my liking. I'll eventually address the rest of the paint, and the rust issue, but for right now, I'm going to enjoy the cruising season. I've already in the last week, put more miles on it than I did last year.
