87 salon rear end

I was wondering what kind of rear end i have in my 87 cutlass salon from the factory. my car is stock other than motor and trans I have a sbc 400/350 setup under the hood. It is pretty much stock. I am wondering if i need to change my rear end or upgrade it in some way. I am not racing or anything. I just want a good burnout and drive on the highway. The motor and trans is completely stock with chrome dress up kit. I am thinking about going with thumpr cam kit later on. nothing big thou

Your car has a 7.5" rear.

You can check your RPO label on the underside of the trunk lid to find the gear ratio.

Here are some common codes...
G72-2.14 ratio
GH2-2.29 ratio
GU1-2.41 ratio
GM8-2.56 ratio
GU2-2.73 ratio
GU4-3.08 ratio
GU5-3.23 ratio
GT4-3.73 ratio
