I agree completely, my 70 will be my nice drive anywhere car. My 88 will be a stripped interior race car with an Olds 424 ci small block. Thanks Olds 307. Big wheels aren't for everyone or every car. My next build will be more for performance. No big wheels, maybe 17s. I like different styles of cars. I believe cars are like clothes. You have clothes you wear for different occasions, like church, work, and to work out. So this car has a purpose. When finished, I think most will actually like the car with the rims. Although it's not yet to my taste, ppl are surprised at how well it rides and drives.
I love rockauto! They have tons of stuff for our cars and several warehouses across the states.....decent prices and damn quick shipping! I use them when not using summit, fleabay, or local yards. Def post some pics once installed. I know you said big wheels aren't for everybody, but i think I've said it before....your car, your $$$, do whatever the hell you want with it. I personally don't like anything bigger than a 20 on our cars, but if you can make it ride nice and not eat the fenders then go for it!Christmas coming early! Just got a full set of coil springs from Rock Auto. Thanks to you all here on GBF. I never heard of Rock Auto until a few weeks ago. I will post pics once I get them installed.
Yes my point exactly! I like big rims on some cars. I don't like them real big but some has class, or are done properly. I have my one car with rims and I'm done. I want something to play in. Ive got something to cruise in. I even want a drag car eventually. I'm going to put a 350 I built in the current project. I'm going to rebuild my 307 for the daily with moderate upgrades and hopefully use the 350 DX block for the track one day. The first is the 307 that is still occupying the engine bay for the moment. Then we have the Olds 358 I just built. The last is the Olds 350 DX block.I agree completely, my 70 will be my nice drive anywhere car. Thanks IC! Love all the support from the group. I want a set of stock looking Cutlass Rally's maybe 20s. CK80 gave me that idea.I agree completely, my 70 will be my nice drive anywhere car. My 88 will be a stripped interior race car with an Olds 424 ci small block.
