Thanks...I probably wasn't clear at my question. I recognize the blazer spindles don't help w/handling (only braking), just wondering if there is anything else others have done in addition to the blazer spindles to get closer to the awesomeness of the ATS spindle for handling. I will be looking to do the taller ball joints. Just wondering if there are other things to look for. I'm considering going w/a complete suspension package from one of the usual names (speedtech, ridetech, etc), but I was hoping in a thread w/40 pages that others might have some wisdom on add'l things to consider.Merely changing to these brakes will not affect handling at all. The ONLY benefit is for braking. Handling comes from adding in taller upper balljoints to change the camber curve of the suspension. Tall lower balljoints main use is to lower a vehicle, it does affect spindle length which helps camber curve, but no where near as much as changing the uppers to tall versions.
i currently have three of those bearings in use. i threw the oring away. why was it included? idk. it too thick and i fear using it will cause more problems than not using it.Quick question as I'm putting the brake package together now. My Detroit Axle new hub bearings included a rubber seal, but using that means the hub is not flush with the blazer spindle; you can see I can easily slip in a thick washer. Can you advise whether I need that rubber seal? I would have thought the spindle should be flush, but wondering why they would include a rubber O-ring type gasket if I wasn't supposed to use it? Thanks for your counsel.
