I replaced the clear lens from the aftermarket lights that accepted the 9006 bulb, with a factory replacement lens from a standard 5x7 sealed beam. All you need to do it is, a heat gun, hammer, gloves, pliers, glue, and patience.85GPLef41 said:how did you get the headlight to look stock with a the HID's?
Take your aftermarket lights and break the front clear glass, heat it up a bit, then with gloves and pliers remove the pieces. Now you just have the plastic bucket that accepts the 9006 HID.
Then take your sealed beam lights and carefully break the bucket part so you don't harm the lens. Now heat that one up and with gloves and pliers remove all the glass pieces. This part is more difficult because everything is glass.
Now you are left with a factory looking front lens and an aftermarket bucket. Now remove all the old glue from both pieces and glue them together and you are done. The smallest particle of glass will cut you so be very careful when removing the glass pieces and glue.
