AC Delco battery

Trying to find out what year GM used this battery, late 80's early 90's or later ? Very sure its a replacement from the dealer since it has a black bottom what I remember. The originals had a white bottom. Found it in my dads garage on a shelf, most likely I had put it there and forgot about it.

With the symbol for the "don't put in trash/lead" on it I would think it was made less than 15 years ago.

Definitely older than 15 years, I had spare parts in front of that battery that hasn't moved in 20 + years. When did GM stop making the green eye on the battery's

The green eye went away in the early 90s. I used to sell autoparts and I don't remember them lasting long into the 90s. Of course I don't remember getting dressed most days so....there is that

Delphi Automotive Systems was so named in 1995, so I would think it's no older than that. Previously was Automotive Components Group.

2002 F-body. I made some repro decals for my old Camaro's original battery and it looked exactly like that.

my Dad's 170 Pontiac Tempest came with a Delco green eye battery......we also had a tiger in the tank

Never owned an 2002 F-body, did they make that same battery before 2002? This battery must of came from the dealer I worked for, and they had closed there doors in 1999. It looks like it was never used other than it has dust on it. Is it the same size as the battery's that came in the g-bodys cant remember the size of them.
