I sure hope that battery is bolted in good and tight. It should be a side terminal type, but if you must use a top terminal type, you never use one that locates the positive terminal that close to the body (ground). One good bump and you may have the mother of all shorts.

Naw, he said "light meter" so I assumed the mechanic did a load test. If he didn't shame on him. If not then he should start right there and get it done just to verify the batt and alt are OK. And hook up all the grounds straps. Yeah the other topic with the grounds was giving me a headache. I still think he could have a tiny short draining power. I've seen as much as 3 volts leaking to ground just from an acidy covered battery.
Now this topic is giving me a headache, why hook up the ground straps??? according to some people it has nothing to do with electrical problems or voltage output. It looks like Mickey Mouse himself did the mechanics on this car.

It looks like you AC belt is to loose from the looks of it in that second video.

I don't think anyone ever said it had nothing to do with electrical problems. Voltage output from the alternator isn't affected, as several other people stated... missing ground straps only cause issue with components that ground through the body.

But that's where you are incorrect still, and i don't care how many people said that it doesn't,,,, It DOES effect voltage output from the alternator. I am going to prove it with a video in the next couple of days so look for it. And if you still don't believe it after i produce proof on video then you've got a problem. You know you are never too old to learn something new, i have yet to see any proof from your side that it doesn't effect voltage output. And the word is EFFECT,,, not affect, but i bet you don't believe that also!

Check your word usage  Effect is the result, affect is the cause.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/affect
Temperature affects the state of water.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/effect
The state of water is the effect of temperature.

Silly goose

The charging system is good now. The grounds are all connected. The only issue remaining is the AC. The new shop I went to referred me to an electrical specialist to get it wired correctly, back to factory. The 2 issues are the blower is constantly turned on and the compressor runs constantly when activated. The problem is either the high & low pressure switches are faulty or they're bypassed somehow.
