Ao I just got my heater working good and now my engine is dieseling( keeps firing after i cut it off ) are my spark plugs messing up or another problem i feel like after I changed my temp sending unit maybe it could have caused that but im not really sure why please help anyone.

Check for vacuum leaks.

The article lilbowtie cited points to oil burning in the combustion chamber after the engine is shut off. If it's a stock engine, you can rule out the octane and timing because it's more than likely very low (7.9:1) compression. Put some new plugs in, and see if they have a ton of oil on them.

Possibly your idle isn't coming down once the engine is warmed up. It's been awhile but typically there's part of the linkage you can push down to mimic what it should do once at operating temp. The qjet experts should chime in, this was typically the issue I had when dieseling at shutoff.
