Has anyone mounted a set of aftermarket gauges in the dash of their GP? I have been looking for the best way to do it and retain a fairly factory look. My guess is that electric gauges would be the easiest to use, but i don't think mechanical would be much harder once you got the pod modified and everything mounted. I like the design of the GP dash and the gauge layout, but as you all know, the factory gauges leave a lot to be desired. That and i am tired of the cheesy pod hanging under my dash. I am not a fan of A-pillar pods either, as i don't need that many gauges. Any input is appriciated. I am very bored what with getting laid off from work for a month(maybe more  ) so i am trying to figure out some of the smaller stuff that i can still afford to do to my car before summer.

I am planning the same thing myself. I tried the mechanincal oil gauge (bad idea) and had it leak due to the sharp turn needed in the oil tube. Anyway, I am trying to use the factory idoit light clutser and carve t out as I need.

Check out my photo album, I am running mechanical gauges.
I always have, and never had a problem, Just put some thought into how you run your lines.
Stay away from any sharp bends.

I'd like to know the same thing!

I want to get a proper speedometer that reads past 85mph, and also possibly replacing my analog clock with a tach. However, a lot of people thinks it's pretty badass my car has a huge analog clock lol

I used to want to get rid of my clock, but i changed my mind and am glad i did. Not many people have a clock like that. As for the speedo, im staying with my stock 85 for now. might upgrade that later.

Oil, fuel, voltmeter, water temp. Looking for something that looks as close as possible to the factory crap to kinda match the speedo and clock
