Aftermarket Steering Wheels

I like my leather wrapped,14 inch,4 spoke Grant wheel with the SS horn button;

Andrew- perhaps you are right. No wood grain off the shelf is going to match the factory's and it will look off. I don't have any wood grain in the car currently, so that is a little reassuring. That banjo wheel looks really nice. I think when I do swap the wheel (again, lol) I'm gonna go with the mahogany grant wheel with a Buick horn button.

I really created this thread because I'm seeing now that my car is coming together, I've never quite seen another car like it and I'm having a hard time visualizing what will look right on it. It will have Dark Maroon paint (Kirker Dark Garnet Red Met.) with chrome trim and oxblood interior, and I already have some other add-on chrome bits like my Autometer tach and my valve covers and rear differential cover. I'm trying to figure out a steering wheel and wheels that will match nicely. I believe this wheel will go well and as for wheels, I am thinking something along the lines of American Racing Outlaw II Wheels or Weld Draglites. Anyways thanks guys.

joe, I've got a grant similar to the one you're thinking of. I bought it about 7 years ago when it went on clearance at work, and is still sitting waiting for an adaptor, and to be installed after the interior is done. the only difference oin mine is that the wood has alot more of a burgandy hue to it...

Sounds like a pretty nice wheel Darin, any pictures of it?

hmmm... thought I knew where it was in the back room, with all my interior parts... will see if I can dig it up this weekend.
