i always use the plastic spacers because they insulate beter than aluminum. but i just run a gasket under the spacer then the spacer then another gasket and the carb. make sure you pull everything down straight and it should seal. make sure the spacer isnt warped

if you have enough hood clearance you could run a 1 inch spacer under the carb to increase plenum size and increase velocity that way I have and I love it.

Just cut a hole on your hood, and place a scoop on it!

Hahah that looks good when it's done right

I HAVE THE PERFORMER RPM, AIR GAP, WITH A 1" SPACER AND HAVE THE STOCK HOOD........NO CLEARANCE ISSUES...YOU WILL LOVE THE AIR GAP.

Do you think the spacer would be worth it on a 350 roller motor with vortec heads and the air gap rpm intake

A good quality for hole spacer will be worth it for the heat control alone, you can step up to a wilson 4 hole space and garrantee at least 8 horses...also cut the hood, I'm trying to start a trend.

That is bad a$$. I want to get a scoop but I have a cowl hood and I kinda want one foe when I take my hood off but don't want people to think I'm dumb hahah

It will not hurt what you have..........only help it !!!! Not to piss off Monte Olrac, But that doesn't look all that good..Starting a trend or not, . Trust your instincts and go with the cowl hood...I'm in the process of doing the same!!!!

Yea I no what you mean, I already have a cowl but want a scoop under the hood so when I take my hood off sometimes, it will look decent and kind of cool
