Cool! I'll trade you straight up one of my Cutlasses for...let's say an F4F Hellcat or maybe an FW190D.... Think about it!

Chi-Town Hustler.

Scott AFB has quite a few aircraft on display, but for most of them you need to be able to get on the base.

Heard there was a fantastic museum up in Wisconsin.. haven't made it there yet.

Been to the Smithsonian in Dulles a couple times. They have an impressive Lycoming collection along with a space shuttle, Concorde, SR71, and Baumgartner's capsule from the sub-orbital jump. Well, worth the trip if you're so inclined.

When I was in Mojave desert working on the CL600 and 601 test aircraft one of the local guys took me to an aicraft graveyard that had miles of commercial and military aircraft in various states of being dismantled. He told that he has bought some jet engines to play with and they were not that expensive.....it was quite a site

Very nice and worthwhile hobby. I have always loved vintage planes. Got to fly on the Memphis Belle a few years back and would like to take a B29 flight sometime. Too bad it wasn’t the real Memphis Belle, but it was still a B17, which is good enough for me. There is a Memphis Belle documentary including old footage and featuring the restoration of the original Belle. It’s on the Smithsonian HD channel.
