A few days ago I put a new motor into my Monte Carlo SS... it ran strong for for a while.. but while removing the computer.. I also removed the 2 prong adapter that goes into the alternator is also gone. So I bought a optima red top... and it ran good for a day or so. now I have to jump it to start it. I talked to someone at autozone they said that it connects to the computer which regulates the voltage... and bcuz the voltage isnt being regulated... it keeps killing my battery... I thought that the alternators had internal regulators?
