I have seen write ups regarding the CS144 alternator conversion..Here is a thought...With our cars , why not go with a stock 120 amp alternator from a Chevy Caprice of the same vintage??? I was at the Livonia NAPA and was checking the specs out, other then where the wires hook up to the alternator, looks like a direct swap..Anyone done this???

On my 442, I use a 160 amp unit out of the '85 K-5 Blazer I parted out years ago. Direct swap, wires and everything.
Blake, thanks for the input......I will have to check that out. U DA MAN!!
