Some.....very few, aluminum core supports had aluminum cross bars. Most had steel cross bars.

My aluminum core support (with the crappy spot welds). It also has the rare aluminum "X" brace (a steel "X" brace for comparison) bolted in place. This core support doesn't have the "A" letter on it. The chin spoiler bolted toit is the rare 46 inch piece.
