Aluminum core support

Those do bolt on.
But yeah, I'm an idiot, they're on there right.
The recent stress from work has scattered my brain...
I think it'd be wise of everybody to stop reading whatever I post...

I should be in the same boat as you, swapping in my aluminum core support onto my 442, but I know that if I take the nose of the car apart, one thing will lead to another, and I'll end up not driving the car this season...

I know this is a little older thread. .but do the fenders hold the core support. . I installed new cups and bushings along with the 2 washers but when i tighten down the bolts the core support still moves. .the bolt and cup and all is tight and wont move but the the space between the upper bushing and lower bushing allows the core support to rock forward and back and be lifted up a little

Did you remember to put a washer on the bottom side between the nut and the frame? If you don't have a giant fender washer in there it will not work. It should be about 2 inches in diameter with a 3/8 in hole in the middle. The hole in the frame is square and designed for adjustment.

im not sure if i know exactly where you are referring to the washer needing to be. . starting from the bottom it goes as follows. .

bolt head --> washer --> frame --> 2 washers --> steel cup --> lower bushing --> core support --> upper bushing --> nut

If only bolted on by the two bolts on the frame, then yes, the core support will wobble back and forth.

The core support attaches to the fenders with two bolts on each side, as well as the wheel wells.
