Funny thing is, Amazon only exists because they saw a need where other retailers dropped the ball. Had there been different leadership there, we could very easily be complaining that Sears is too big and being slow on deliveries. The rest are just trying to catch up.

Amazon wont be the only place to buy stuff, Walmart has a growing presence online and at least in the US the goverment will break up Amazon just like they did with Bell telephone many years ago.

Like me, Im a small home based business, full time for a little over a year now. I do sell on Amazon and other platforms, Ive been removing items from there due to some of the policies that they have in place and focusing in other areas. Will I ever get large enough to compete with Amazon in their sandbox, I dont know.

Small business owners can partner with Amazon, to sell their items/services on Amazon's website. We stock their inventory for them at our Fulfillment Centers, then use our logistics to deliver the small business owner's items. Thousands of SBO's do this. Maid services, Security camera installations, lawn maintenance, tile installation, electronics installations, hardwood floor cleaning, It's all there. Handmade art, jewelry, custom signage. Need a deadbolt lock installed?? How about a plumber to clear a clogged drain? Guitar lessons?? So what I would tell small business owners is this - Use Amazon to their advantage.

Well said, the biggest issue I have with Amazon is that from the start the management has not wanted to tell buyers that there is 3rd party sellers or SBO's on their site.
