Based on what I saw the moderator had every right to ban certain members. I think the forum is a better place for it as there were also toxic posts towards other members. You can go to real Oldspower.com if you enjoy that environment.

Agreed. I come here for gbody technical info......not a big fan of unnecessary drama, political posts, trolling, etc.

Also agreed. But there's some things you can only learn with time and experience. And without guys while been there and done that you lose institutional memory and guidance through where someone else has been before.

These days you can't throw a balled up tissue without hitting an 'expert' on ls-junk. But try to find someone who knows the ins and outs on early SBO. Ponchos, or buicks? Might take a while.

Any Google search throws out more efi swap gurus and info than you can shake a stick at, but finding a good qjet specialist? That takes some effort.

I guess it depends on what you're trying to cultivate. And again. I'm not advocating for being above the rules.

But I do think in most interpersonal altercations it takes two to tango, and given what I've seen through the years, my guess is that we're not dealing with a blameless conflagration here, just one where it became a so called nuclear option to win the day. (Which again. Can't say where I wouldn't have done the same, I just don't know.)

I agree. But the same thing applies to the guys w/all of that 'time & experience'. You can say/do whatever you want in your house, but that does not give you the freedom/right to do it in another's.
With time & experience should also come the ability to navigate communications such that you don't upset the owner of the joint.

fleming is banned because he literally PM'd me to call me a c*nt, tell me to grow a pair, and insulting my chosen line of work
pontiacgp is banned for essentially the same reason, and threatening to sic his "army" after my site and other unstable sh*t.

both of them had a long history of user complaints and post reports that *you* don't see.

Now, I don't know what sort of business owner would allow people to do such things "in real life" and not have them thrown out and never allowed back in.

Literally anyone else on your "victims" list left of their own accord, they aren't banned, and are free to join the discussion here again, provided they leave the politically charged topics at the door. How many times do I have to repeat it.

I didn't want to air that sh*t out in public, bc of this kind of sh*t right here. I'm not real comfortable with having to "air out the dirty laundry" so-to-speak nut it looks like the usual suspects are more interested in throwing fuel on the fire, so there, that's the reasons why.

Look. I have rules. If you don't like the rules, you're free to just simply not post your stuff, to not visit the site, whatever. You don't have to keep stirring the pot, poking and prodding at the boundaries to see what you can get away with, daring me to do something about it, and then getting all pissy and play the poor oppressed victim when I actually do.
