Still not going to be tall enough to match up to the garnish. Luckily, I won't be looking there often

The real issue is with tune up parts. All to often repro replacement parts fail to meet factory specs.

My favorite is a mineral oil synthetic blend. You could have 1 drop of synthetic and that would be a blend right?

How about a mineral oil that's labelled synthetic because it's been refined a little more.

Just like Mobil 1 now. The standard plain cheap Mobil 1 is actually just dino oil that has cracked PAO's. For the old style, actual synthetic Mobil 1, you have to buy the Mobil 1 annual protection version which is really expensive.

Walmart sells it for 10 bucks more than the regular stuff in the 5 quart jug. I wouldn't say it is really expensive. But about 40% more in price. Still comes out to 7 bucks/quart though. Not terrible. But if it's as good as they claim, it would be considered good in my eyes.

Here is what I wound up with after some trimming/hole enlarging. Front end isn't screwed down yet, so it's not all the way down against the tray. Not great, but better than nothing.
