I used Geocities in 1996/1997 but it got terrible in 1998, so i switched to Tripod in Jan 1999.

I can't even make fun of people that used web page creation software, I wrote mine 100% in notepad

Writing it in Notepad is nothing to worry about, it's all coding anyway.
I sometimes code software stuff in Notepad and paste it from there.
