Any New Yorkers here? Car insurance question

Car Insurance is a Scam in New York. I Live in the Bronx and I Pay $145 a Month and I got an 85 Cutlass Supreme.
The Rates these Companies Hand out is Ridiculous.

Look at the amount of accidents in the city you think it's bad Miami has worst rates then NY.I pay less in insurance here then I did in FL the cost of tags has doubled it costs almost $400 for tags in Fl plus insurance prices being very high in certain locations like Miami it's about $230 a month and that's for $10,000-$20,000 coverage.

Erie insurance. Haggerty may be able to help with classic car insurance

Suffolk? Try living in NYC itself- brutal rates. A male under 25 is a hard case no matter what company. Would your Parents consider letting you be on their policy? I did that with my kids, worked fine with one, the other had a bad accident and I dumped her. She still pays exorbitant rates but that's all her fault. Only other option is to have just minimum liability, and be a VERY careful driver. Down side is that if someone bangs you, you must catch them and make a claim against their company.

Gonna talk to my dad about him putting me on his policy, don't know if it'll happen but I'll try. All the quotes I'm getting are state minimum also, no coverage for me haha, gonna have to be really careful!
