And yes the rates are high but in time your broker can re- shuffle the deck and throw you into another company because they ALL have to accept a certain % of high risk drivers. after 6 months check around again.
Please keep driving the car.. if you let her sit she will rot . I say start collecting items that you want to do with the car and store them till you are ready to lay it up. But first get those rear gears done when you can. That will give you your MOST improvement and tell the guy eventually you will be swapping to a 350 olds just in case there is something "extra" that they can do for you.
GO to the car shows out there and if you can the ones in the Bronx. those guys have the hook ups! They do it faster than anyone i have seen and again i have no complaints about the work i had done with all of them
Keep us posted!

It's all good man. It does have a alarm (factory one) but it's broken, I'll mention that to the broker. Have a garage but it's way to small and my driveways a pain in the *ss too lol. But he said it's so much because how NY has the 3 year inexperienced driver thing (forgot what they call it) that's a fortune and how the car isn't 'safe' because no ABS or airbags lol. Cars back then weren't made of plastic like nowadays when the whole car crumples if you get hit, you know?
I mean the car does have a lot of miles on it but it was well maintained and it's only a 307 so there's only so much I can do to it anyway. Still a great car and all but you gotta do what you gotta do! Maybe when it drops in 3 years (If I have a good clean driving records) I'll drop a 350 in it if the frame is good. As long as I'm driving it now I'm happy.
My garage is too small anyway :x I can fit about 1/4 of my car in there and so the garage door would be open. Yeah I have to get it fixed! The horn is so damn loud too. I forgot that the guy told me it was broke when I got the car but I was messing around with the auto-locks and they seemed to be working I did something wrong when showing my buddies and alarm went off for a good 5 minutes. And yes the car will not be sitting, it's my daily driver too haha. I'll keep you posted with this insurance stuff.
