Big question: Did you fix them or are they going to be the exact same crappy plastic pieces with the same weak points like the originals?

funny. Try to make them the same at most opportunities. If you have suggestions on how to make them better let me know. The new one I have here is pretty stout in all honesty
 
They all crack where they bolt to the bumper. The flat circular insert cracks where it turns 90 degrees to become cylindrical, so you have a plastic washer bolted to the bumper and the rest of the bracket floating. It's a nightmare because none of those holes tend to line up perfectly, so when it gets cinched down, it preloads the bracket. Doesn't take much after that to fatigue it or just break it. You'd probably have to thicken up the plastic in that area as well as the cylindrical section that the bolt recesses into.
 
seems like as with a license plate bending when you run into it, if you don't give them a reason to break they wont lol
