Those are the replacement hinge pins for a late model chevy truck Lower hinge should not have any slop

No way I would let that dude near my car

Last set of hinges I rebuilt, cost less than $5 and took less than an hour to do. Never even took the door off.

I went to the body shop today and he rebuilt my hinges , but it dont look any thing like stock,,
is my body shop doing it right or is bull ******** me?

as you see you used half bolt down and half bolt up, he told gm new improved part? any input ,,
and he told me the bottom hing spouse to have little play ??

please i need input
help, is this guys messing my car up

Might be OK, but it sure looks strange to me. IMO, the most important thing is the pin(s) fit tight in the bushings, Also, if the pin is replaced by a bolt there should not be any threads in contact with the bushings. Bolt threads in a bushing will just wear away the bushing surface every time the hinge is cycled, contributing to premature bushing failure.

For one, they didn't use them correctly, that smooth surface that points down on the top pin, that is what the bushing rides on, for the bottom pin, you can see hat they just hacked it off, this is a half *ss cob job, don't accept it! Make them do it over with the correct parts, or take it to someone else who knows what they are doing. I'd be pissed if someone tried to pass this off to me as an upgrade!

Those are Thexton Mfg. door hinge repair kits and are a new twist on the old idea, They will be fine ,They are also rebuild-able . I found them on the web for $37 bucks a set of two. 😛
