Ahh, to be in that shape again! If you think about it, we didn't eat junk food or have any caffeine and were in amazing shape. A 5 mile company run and 120+ sit ups was no sweat.
I'd be careful with the supplements. If you've ever looked at labels a lot of them say patent pending or have some other disclaimers. When I was seriously into lifting I tried a lot of different things to push past that plateau and there were times when I felt like I was going to have a heart attack! Before ephedrine got the ax in the early 90's we would use that for a boost. This was before stuff like Super Pump and NO-Xplode came about. A lot of fat burners were just coming on the scene too....one of my favorites was the original Xenadrine.
A lot of these supplements can wreak havoc on your cardiovascular and nervous system so be careful. My advice is to put together a proper training regimen that fits your goals, eat clean, eat at the right times and don't over train.
