are there any master cylinder upgrades for our cars?

when i bought my set of stainless steel hardlines i also bought a set of the russell braided hoses. i do know that the stock rubber hoses can and do flex and can contribute to the spongy feel of the pedal and i know some of my mushiness was from them, eventually the hose at the rear blew out.

think they ran an episode on muscle car tv or something like that on breaks a long time ago, true we can use the simple principals to make are breaks feel firmer with less travel but the term used by Bonnewagon was better than they are for a reason. Just be careful and dont push it to hard before you upgrade the rest of the system or it will be all feel and no brakes. Just dont want see any of our fellow gbody drivers get hurt, but you of course know your car and know what it can and cant do. Sure wish i could get ahold of a set of those black torque thrusts with the chrome outer ring in a 17 or 18, would help my olds out a lot

i want to upgrade the master/booster when i upgrade the front brakes at the least. i prefer it all be done at once and if possible i'll try to go for front and rear upgrades and the master/booster in one shot. i dont like the idea of doing it a piece at a time. my concern is with doing it one part at a time is it wont feel balance until it's all done and unbalanced brakes are a bad thing. i dont want to ruin my car or anyone elses and i dont want to hurt anyone else or myself. it sucks driving around with the stock brakes but i know they work and they'll do their job if the car isnt driven like it was stolen.

as for the wheels have you considered having some stripped and painted/powder coated to your liking? my wheels are still new in their boxes and i'm considering having them stripped and redone to match the original colors of the car, two tone grey. i'm waiting to mount the wheels after i get tires for them but also when i have the rear suspensions parts put in. maybe around the same time as the brake upgrade.

so i've already considered the hoses as well as the lines, now it's just a matter of settling on a set of front and rear brakes. i'm still not sure which way i want to go. the blazer upgrade seems nice and simple but the rotors are barely bigger than the stock ones but it is thicker and uses pads that cover a larger surface area along with a dual piston caliper that allows for more clamping force. i'm liking the idea of using an ls1 rotor and a c5 caliper much more though. the rotor would be larger by 1.5" but also thicker (1.25" ) and i'd still be using a two piston caliper. i'm not sure what the surface area of the c5 pads are but i suspect they're larger than the stock g-body pads.

as for the rear i'm not sure as i just havent done enough research into it to make an educated decision. i dont know how "bolt in" ls1 rear brakes are. everything i do would literally have to be bolt in. i dont trust a shop to do the work for me and i dont have the means (tools) to weld and do things like that. saw and drill i can do though.

most likely i'll do some searching in this section and ask questions that have been asked and answered a million times.

SO is this b-body 11" master a direct bolt-in for a g-body? Also is it shorter overll? I wouldn't mind getting a smaller booster. Also is it aluminum? I dont like putting steel parts in when I can put aluminum parts in...
