AWD Cutlass burnout

That thing is BAD AZZ, I always liked it. I too was hoping for a build thread, but some gratuitous tire destruction will do.

That is the front end and driveline from a Trailblazer SS, along with a lot of other parts

I've also seen read he used TBSS parts. I'd like to see what he had to do to fit the transfer case under the floor pan.

Impressive car and I can understand why he doesn't want to share the details. I'm not crazy about the rims though.....It is a H/O after all and deserves the correct Olds Rallye rims. Also, does it seem that the front wheels are not centered in the wheel opening correctly? Maybe an optical illusion?

The entire front sub section is from the Trailblazer so the tire track may be wider, plus he may of had to by wheels that fit the Trailblazer bolt pattern.

x2 on the rims, looks cheesy but to each their own...
Lots of little things that can be buttoned up to make it look better and not like a Jegs catalog special (center hood trim, seats, dash trim etc.)

Cool yes, impressed... not so much, it's still has a Chevy under the hood 😛

There was a 4WD Cutlass many years back on the Oldsgmail list I remember, I'll have to dig up my photos of it.
This conversion was done with S10 components...

AWD has been done before with other cars, he's not the first to do this as he states that he wanted to show the world it can be done.

Lets not forget James Garners '69 Cutlass:

There is no need to be secretive about the mechanics of it, I doubt anyone is going to copy. In fact I recall this guy rubbing some people the wrong way in the original thread about this car:

From what I can recall this is the only Cutlass (/ Gbody for that matter) that used the Trailblazer SS drivetrain. I can only recall 3 other Gbodies that have went AWD using S10 drivetrains.
Its truly a great build and the first of its kind. There will be followers that's just inevitable.
Be secure that your car was first awd442.

I think this car is super cool. Opinions are interesting to hear but I cant say yea or nay because very few people have the guts to do something like this. Let alone an LS power plant. I bet this car is a very streetable 10 second car. AWD for the win. And i think those lowpros look good on it. You cant expect to see your average formula for a rwd setup (fat radials in the rear/skinies up front) all 4 tires need bite.
Maybe he does know something we all dont know... 😕
