I recently did a LOF on my everyday driver Pontiac Bonneville SSE that has a factory oil gauge in the dash. It has ALWAYS read 40lb idle hot, and 60LB's highway cruising speed. Same routine with this oil change since I have owned it, full synthetic Havoline and a Napa Gold oil filter. Well this oil change after driving it to work, I only got 25LB idle hot and 40LB running down the road. So after one trip to work and back, I changed the filter again, same Napa Gold Brand and its back to normal! Thank God for oil pressure gauges, who knows how much damage this would have caused if it had gotten worse, or to not have an oil gauge to warn me. Anyone else have similar issues ever? This is a 1st for me!
