Bad product? 4 times?

There may be sludge in the oil galleries clogging up the sender.

I agree it could be clogged. That's why I soak it in solvent to try and loosen it up. The GM part may just respond, they have in the past. The Jeep part that does not work on, but it has a chip in it. I think that is the culprit.

There isn't any OEM anymore. AC Delco sells re-boxed Standard, they even use the same product photos. Everything is made by the same outfits in China, no matter whose brand is on it.

Well that just sucks. If I pay AC Delco prices, I expect AC Delco quality. I put the Airtex in the Jeep and I am keeping fingers crossed. I found my stash of old AC Delco Pontiac senders and most were just bad so I tossed them. But I have at least one that is working OK in the Bonnewagon. I also found what looks like a new one but I can't identify the brand.

never thought I'd see the day where I'd be happy to see something made in mexico......

when I was at Advance, we sold the BWD stuff, and I saw several parts bad in the box... mostly crank/cam sensors or ignition modules not reading the same as stock units, and causing no starts and issues similar to original problem...
