battery drain

hey i think that my [alt]wire that goes to my starter is hooked up wrong?i have it hooked up on the tiny little bolt thats right next to it ..would my [alt]still work and if so would that make it drain only when i drive it..thanks for any help...mike

Mike, have you had the alt. checked to make sure its working? I cant help ya on the wiring but if it just started happening i would get the alt checked.

IIRC, a wire should go from the batt to the starter and one from the batt to the main post on the alt. regardless, the main wire should not be on the small post of the alt.

should i connect all the red wires on the big bolt that has the battery cable on it?.and connect only one purple wire on the solenid bolt.?
