BBC motor plate in my 87

wats up to all ...noob here haha i have a BBC in my 87 cutlass supreme and i want to install a 1 piece motor plate instead of the factory mounts and the only problem that i can see is the gear box is in the way of mounting the motor plate i was jus wondering if there is anyone else on here that has done this and could maybe shoot me some tips 8)

This might not be the best help but I put a motor plate in my car this summer but i'm running Olds' and switched to a manual box from Flaming River

nice.... i was gonna do a 455 olds but everyone told me they were expensive to build although my big block chevy wasnt exactly cheap either

there's not as much of a price difference as everyone believes to be...all depends on how deep you go

Sweet! You're a few miles away, I'm in Seattle! You are totally correct on the how deep you go. The olds motors are tough to go hard, unless you really get to know Joe. And empty your wallet then. The BBC's we run , we go deep on. But we're going deep into the inches too. 565, 588, 632 and minimum you're spending 30K, to go fast reliably. Good luck on your plate issue. I think we have a buddy that lives out there that could hook you up. I gotta look him up tho-Make sure he's still alive. Us old guys expire all the time!! Cheers-Matt
