Sorry,
Its been a while, I have been fighting with tuning this stupid stumble out of the Edelbrock carb.
The frontend has settled, so I will be looking at some new front springs when I freshen up the brakes. Maybe GN or Monte SS...?
The driveshaft works, its like 3/8" shorter.
I went to one of the pull a part salvages because the had a Malibu listed on craigslist to part out, alas it was gone. Scored another set of F41 braces and a rear sway bar, plus some hood latch cables and two V8 fan shrouds.
Well, if you guys didn't know, I dig Malibu's besides my Beater Regal project...so a guy I drag race with calls and asks "Hey do you need any Malibu parts? I am going to haul the two I have to the smasher..."
....
So, $600 later....
The orange car had new/recent brakes and front end. So, it was selected to be stacked back into a street/strip car...
I WAS making pretty good progress.
454 from a 1 ton truck for $400. Then I spent about $20 at the car wash and on several kinds of degreasers.
I already had a set of the infamous Hooker 2441 BBC Malibu headers. I scored a TH350 with a shift kit and small stall for $200. A set of Ralley wheels 4's & 8's for $200. Then, I bought a bolt on 4 inch cowl hood for $400.
Setting in place, all cleaned up, touched up some of the black paint, I added the RPM intake and also put on a car oil pan.
Shortly after that pic, I fired it up for the first time....

The freaking motor is rattling, so, parts are at the machine shop. I added a new ac delete plate in place of the No Dumping sign, also added a cowl extension. Cleaned up the wiring & looms. Bomb canned some black paint.
