Great job. Just saw a Buick 455-4 in a salvage yard yesterday. Complete with carb and airbox with a good 455-4 sticker. I think it was a 75 Electra 225. Anybody want it they can probably get it very reasonably from this place.

Well,
Its been a few days, some small progress included the cruise transducer, more for speedo cables than anything else. New red cap and wires. Scored a new overflow and washer bottle. Lastly, a set of polished Center Line Convo-Pro wheels.

Pics up tomorrow, ran out of day light today.

Well,
Its been a while, but, now the Regal is sporting some new 2.5" duals with Thrush welded mufflers. Sounds awesome, now I wish I would have went with a more aggressive or lumpier camshaft.

Scored a set of 15x8 Center Line Convo-Pros too. Blacked out the front and rear window trim.

Got some tuning on the Edelbrock carb, has this part throttle stumble  that is defying me...tried jets and metering rods and advance curves....eh, I'll get there.

Then comes the nitrous plate.

Oh, and I scored a beat up Monte SS hull for the sway bars and rear end!!!

I'll snap some pics or a video later today.

How did that Trailblazer drive shaft work out? I'm thinking about raiding the local Pick N Pull for one.

Wayyyyy cool man. I will be watching this thread close. I REALLY want to build a s/s small tire regal one day. This is some good motivation.

Sorry,
Its been a while, I have been fighting with tuning this stupid stumble out of the Edelbrock carb.

The frontend has settled, so I will be looking at some new front springs when I freshen up the brakes. Maybe GN or Monte SS...?

The driveshaft works, its like 3/8" shorter.

I went to one of the pull a part salvages because the had a Malibu listed on craigslist to part out, alas it was gone. Scored another set of F41 braces and a rear sway bar, plus some hood latch cables and two V8 fan shrouds.

Well, if you guys didn't know, I dig Malibu's besides my Beater Regal project...so a guy I drag race with calls and asks "Hey do you need any Malibu parts? I am going to haul the two I have to the smasher..."

:wtf:

....

So, $600 later....

The orange car had new/recent brakes and front end. So, it was selected to be stacked back into a street/strip car...
I WAS making pretty good progress.

454 from a 1 ton truck for $400. Then I spent about $20 at the car wash and on several kinds of degreasers.

I already had a set of the infamous Hooker 2441 BBC Malibu headers. I scored a TH350 with a shift kit and small stall for $200. A set of Ralley wheels 4's & 8's for $200. Then, I bought a bolt on 4 inch cowl hood for $400.

Setting in place, all cleaned up, touched up some of the black paint, I added the RPM intake and also put on a car oil pan.

Shortly after that pic, I fired it up for the first time....

....

....

....

The freaking motor is rattling, so, parts are at the machine shop. I added a new ac delete plate in place of the No Dumping sign, also added a cowl extension. Cleaned up the wiring & looms. Bomb canned some black paint.

On that Edelbock did you try moving the carb pump linkage down one hole position.....you need just a little more when stomp on it....mine didn't do it all the time but enough to drive me crazy.....and I did this before ordering the Edelbrock #1480 carb tuning kit.

I have since added some cooling fans, swapped over to a Victor Jr intake and went to all push lock hose for the fuel system...

Been a while since I was on here, thought I would post up.

Going to pick-up/rescue a 78/79 Regal today. Pics to follow...
