Was wondering if anyone has used anything different or if something new came out in headers besides the hooker headers for the 454 swap into g body's

Are you looking for a cheaper alternative to the Hooker Super Comp engine swap headers, if so people have used the A-body headers with modification to fit in a g-body.
I have used the BBC engine swap headers in 3 G-bodies (Regal,Cutlass and Monte) and they all fit very well, I currently have Lemons Headers now with my 565BBC but they make the Hookers look inexpensive.

What mods needed to be done to the a body ones? I'm thinking of doing short style headers .

There has been countless threads covering this both here and on Malibu racing. The Hooker 2455s are the easiest fit A-body headers to my knowledge and many people have used them with only minor modifications like denting some tubes and grinding on the passenger lower control arm bracket.

Yea I know about the other thread's but looking in search came up nothing on here .As for other site I haven't looked.

Heres a link to my blog on how I put a set of A Body Hooker # 2455 headers in my Monte;

But,if I were to do it again,I would find a smaller dia primary tube A Body header,either a 1 3/4 or 1 7/8.
They would likely fit a bit easier,and the 2 inch tube is probably not needed on a street engine.From what I learnt after putting them on,I could be giving up a bit of low end grunt with the 2 inch pipes.

Thanks for the link
