I'm refering to the numbers stamped in front of the pass side head on a sbc.... I have checked on nastyz28.com, and have tried googling it to reference what the engine originally came out of...

does anyone know of another site I may be able to check out? stamping is: TI220S if anyone can help me...

Thanks,
Darin

I'd recheck the stamping as it don't look like a complete code. "T" would be the engine plant the bolck was cast at, the "1220" would be the date. The "S" suffix should be either 2 or 3 letters.

that's all that's on there...but it's T i 220 s...wonderining if the machine shop that did work to this possibly decked the block and tried to re-stamp the #'s and screwed it up.... also checked nastyz28 again and on the small block stamping codes, there wasn't any 327's on that list...

I'm going to back up and re-check the casting codes again...when i googled it last time, it took me to a vettte restoration site...maybe I can get some more info there...

Thanks
Darin

S codes are 1958-63 327 with a power glide transmission. you guys arent looking old enough. t= tonowanda, 12 december 1960 327.

well, another thing that confuses me is the second digit is a capital "i", not a 1....second is just off the side of the casting # on the driver's side rear is 11-63(never seen this on a small block before)....like I said, I'll get the casting #'s again and search through the vette restoration site that the google search came up with at the top of the list.... I'm just curious on what this block was originally in....

I really appreciate the responses guys, as this gives me a better range to search!
